: Can anyone please help me by telling how to convert emu/cm3 to emu/Ni atom in Ni doped TiO2 thin films?

Objective: To convert from EMU/cm3 to EMU/Ni Atom
EMU = Electron Mass Unit.

First, we need some numbers and then we will play around with the units.

• Atomic Weight of Ni = 58.69 gram of Ni
• Density of Ni = 8.912gcm-3 of Ni
• Avogadro’s number = 6.022 x 10^23

Now the solution:

EMU/cm3 x cm3 /8.912gram Ni= EMU/8.912gram Ni

1 mole Ni = 58.69 gram Ni

Therefore,

EMU/8.912gramNix58.69gramNi/1moleNi=6.586EMU/1mole Ni

But 1 mole of a substance = 6.022 x 10^23 Atom of that substance

6.586 EMU/ 1moleNi x 1 mole Ni/ 6.022 x 10^23 Atom Ni

= 1.094x10^-23EMU/Ni Atom
